Research Paper:
Sustainable Investing, a Fiduciary's Role, and the Measurement and Management of 'Sustainability Risk'

Excerpt : "The flawed message that short term financial performance at any cost, and in any non-sustainable manner, is preferred by all investors to sustainable business practices is being delivered by the fiduciary on behalf of their clients, to each recipient of the client’s capital. This diluted message perpetuates a miscommunication influencing non sustainable business actions, decisions and direction by management, on behalf of the shareholders. Not only is this message incorrect, but it forces business leaders to act in this manner due to pressure from fiduciaries."
